It is not perfect, and has its limitations (for example, has tables support, but these are very limited in functionality and I prefer to link within cherrytree to actual spreadsheets), but unlike the plethora of other apps, many of which are basically just markdown editors, you can cut and paste rich text and web page snippets into cherrytree very effectively (can't do that with markdown editors). I've tried so many similar systems, but always come back to cherrytree. Well, you can delete, edit, but not add contacts.Ĭherrytree isn't a PIM per se of course, but can hold Contact info and todo lists of course. Can import as a CVS, and the now treesheet's info is searchable, but not modifiable. There's a Windows version but it seems to be old. Treesheets.? If someone had to accept that absence, I figured Rainlender's ability to synchronize with Windows provided something to ease the pain. Wiak, IIRC, except for BarryK's compile for EasyOS, the Contacts module of recent versions of Osmo -including the one from Void's repo- was broken or entirely absent. But the problem seems to be screen-tearing, and that under a couple different kernels. Three different skins are built in and others can be installed. Rainlender2 would not open under Voidpup64. * Just a note if anyone wants to fully portablize it and use that one folder with multiple puppys: wizard's instructions can be applied under Fossapup64 without ill effects. I even unsuccessfully tried to find it in Ubuntu's archive. Missing a library which can't be found in currently searchable Repos.

Untested is the 2013 32-bit Linux version from here. I know that some 32-bit versions for Windows will run under Wine. I don't expect it to be difficult to create a menu entry or (thereafter) add it to /root/Startup. Right-Clicking either the 'Main Module' or the Calendar brings up Exit, among other options. Right-Clicking any of the displayed modules provides a pop-up of available options. Under Fossapup64 Right-Clicking>ListDD showed no missing dependencies and Left-Clicking opened it OOTB. In the extracted folder was a binary named rainlender2. I downloaded the generic version and used UExtract to unpack the tar.bz. The display of some can be turned off and, when wanted, turned back on. Each section can be independently moved to wherever on your desktop you want it to appear.
